A.M.Carter Construction Inc. has made a policy of generating good working relationships with reliable, affordable, sole proprietor subcontractors in an effort to maintain the highest standards for our customers while keeping an eye on costs. Adrian works " hands on" with these crews while managing the projects, so you, the customer, can interact with the company owners on site as necessary.

Born into a family with close ties to the construction industry as well as real estate development in Ireland ( father and both uncles involved in residential construction and custom kitchen cabinet manufacturing ) Adrian attended and graduated a 4 year construction course at Bolton Linenhall College of Trades , Dublin, Ireland before emigrating to the US in 1987.

He started his own construction business along with his brother and later his father on Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts. He met and married his wife Joan there in 1990 and relocated to Chapel Hill , North Carolina in 1991 and has been there ever since.

Incorporated in North Carolina since 1994, A.M.Carter Construction Inc. have built everything from fine custom homes to whole house remodels as well as everything in between, whether large or small. Since 2004 the focus has been on custom interior upfits most especially in kitchens and master suites ( including those built on as additions).
